MatchMover, Maya, Mocha y After effects

El Tracking

Cuando se trata de hacer un tracking a un objeto, con mocha me tardo como 5 minutos mas o menos pero esta vez no fue tan simple como parece. Este objeto era reflectivo y mocha no podia entender la forma por lo tanto no podia hacer un tracking preciso.

El segundo problema era que los puntos de tracking eran blancos y el camion tiene unos reflejos de luz muy fuerte y en algunos frames los puntos de tracking de la parte de arriba se pierden completamente.

Lo tercero era que al objeto ser reflectivo y tratar de remover los puntos de tracking se convertia en un problema porque el objeto cambiaba continuamente de color pero con un poco de paciencia, photoshop y after effects se logró el objetivo.

Octupus experiment

I made this animation just for fun, here we have a octupus that he
didnt know he was a octupus because we created it, he is an experiment
and he is a scared when he looks himself for first time.

Now i worked with blendshapes and rigged
body for animation, i made the water simulation in RF and
textured and rendered in maya, finally the composition in AE.

Can animation

In this animation for a TV spot, I worked with one of my friends, Vidal. We worked with a lot of tools in Maya. To make them dance we used a rigging body and a deformer, to make the movements more accurate.

In lighting we used a final gathering and put 3 rebounds in the scene, with colors like blue and beige. This was so we could get the effect of the colors of the sand and the ocean really reflecting in the can lighting and coloring. We used 4 lights, yellow for the sun, 2 blue lights for the ocean, and one to control shadows.

the difficulties of this animation was the sand, but what we did
was create particles that collide with the can. This will
make the particles jump around the can in the air, and by adjusting a gravity field we got a nice sand jumping effect.

After that we let it render for like 3 hours in metal ray, and then added some retouching on after effects to get better colors, levels, and contrasts.

The animation will be video edited by another person.
